Concert: Mark Trammel Quartet

20882939_1545889222133842_6803507434490306610_n

Stevendale Baptist Church opens its doors for a concert for the first time since the floods ravaged its buildings.

The Mark Trammel Quartet will perform this Saturday, September 16th at 7:00 p.m.

Ironically, the concert comes as a result of Houston flooding. The southern gospel quartet had to change its venue quickly, and remembering last year’s cancellations, called Stevendale to see if a return was possible.

Join us!

The sanctuary is renovated and we look forward to welcoming all who would like to come. No Tickets Necessary. Free Concert. A love offering will be taken.

Stevendale Baptist Church is located at
16545 Old Hammond Hwy.
Baton Rouge, LA 70816

Biggest Current Needs:

We are trying to finish phase one and move on to phase two. There is some overlap, because schedules dictate that we must. We get stuck at bottlenecks, where nothing more can be done in an area until a certain thing is done. The bottlenecks usually come in areas where skilled volunteers are needed. Here are the 4 biggest needs.

  • Electricians
  • Plumbers
  • Carpenters
  • Concrete Workers (For busting and pouring in certain areas)

If you  can volunteer your service or would like to bring a volunteer team, PLEASE contact pastor Stephen Young II cell (225) 436 – 9366 . We need your help!

Finishing the Sanctuary

To all who have helped and who will help through this restoration process we thank you.

Stevendale Baptist Church is so very thankful to First Baptist Church of Haughton, Louisiana for its generous special offering to cover the cost of restoring the flooring in our sanctuary. (not yet installed)  Also, for sending a team of men to rebuild our stage. Amazing!

Stevendale also wishes to express its gratitude to Crossroads Baptist Church of Conroe, Texas for their special offering to create a starter fund to replace our sanctuary seating.

We still need help with sanctuary seating. We have funding for a little more than half of our chairs. Help us cross the finish line. If you would like to contribute, a donation of $90 will purchase one chair. We will install it with both a bible and a hymn book in place.

Sunday School Ministries Begin Again!

The Sunday after Thanksgiving, two of our Sunday School classes started meeting again. Old Soldiers and On Mission began calling upon adults who had been faithfully involved in Sunday School ministry before the flood to meet again.

This Sunday (January 7th) our pastor of Children’s Ministries, Hardie Midkiff, will begin an elementary/junior-high class, and Debbie Young will begin a Pre-K class. Pastor Stephen Young will begin an 8-week New Members/Near Members class.

More classes will begin as the weeks move on and temporary spaces are developed for them. We look forward to meeting together for Bible Study.

Sunday School Meets at 9:15 a.m.
in the Fellowship Hall building!

Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary!
